Cabanas de Tavira is a village in the municipality of Tavira, with 6.31 km ² and 1,081 habitants (2011). Density: 171.3 inhabitants / km ². This village was established on July 12, 2001.
Cabanas de Tavira is a beautiful neighborhood that has its feet the blue mantle of wonderful Ria Formosa, and its horizon, the more blue Atlantic Ocean, whose waters, almost always calm and crystal clear, bathe the white sands of the semi-wild island Cabanas.

Inserted in Tavira, Cabanas, land of fishermen, has suffered from a few years now, a very significant development, which is not unconnected with the fact that it is a tourist hub of great attraction, where many seek in period vacation, replenish their energies in the quiet beach huts.
